A South Burlington School-Based Mentoring Program
This beautiful artwork, created by Helena, one of our young leaders, was described by her in the following way: "The artwork is happy and beaming with love and happiness that is surrounded by fireworks and a big star because they are bright." She went on to explain that this is how she feels when she meets with her mentor each week.

“Sparks are the hidden flames in kids that excite them and tap into their true passions.” ~ Peter L. Benson, Ph.D., The Search Institute
SB Mentoring is our school-based mentoring program at Chamberlin, Orchard, Rick Marcotte Central, F.H. Tuttle Middle, and South Burlington High Schools in the South Burlington School District that matches caring, respectful adults in the community one-on-one with wonderful young people in grades K through 9 to help young people find their "sparks": their passions and interests.
SB Mentoring believes that, in the words of one of our mentors, mentors "learn just as much -- if not more -- from our young leaders as they learn from us."
